| Name: | Astor |

| Birthdate: | 05-10 |
information Name: Lord Astor of Bocholt. Nickname: None that he wants. Age: 19. Date of Birth: May 10. Zodiac: Taurus. Eyes: Brown. Hair: Red. Place of Birth: Azurane. Loss: He's lost his hearing in his left ear, as well as a decreased hearing in his right ear. As Astor was a musician, this hinders him quite a bit. personality Astor is quite adept creatively, much to his parents' chagrin. They wanted a son that could use a sword, climb trees, and throw a fist in a fight, whereas they were stuck with an only child that spoke softly, but could sing very well, play an instrument, compose music, and even write poetry if the time was available to him. He took to literature at a very young age and was writing then, as well. His tutors noticed his abilities and even remarked upon them. However, his riding instructor often grew frustrated with him, for he would tire easily, and his other training did not go very well, either. This resulted in a somewhat problematic relationship with both his mother and his father. His mother, as would be expected, wanted a very traditional, masculine son, and his father wanted the same. Both of his friends were similar, so why couldn't he be the same way? Astor was articulate and intelligent, whereas his friends were boisterous and wild. If anything, this was why he was forced to hang out with them for so long. As a boy, he was always sullen, quiet, and polite. As he grew up, this barely changed. He always complained a lot, though, and always dictated what was right or what needed to be done. Astor had a mind for politics, which was a good thing, but he also didn't have a mind, or a body, for a lot of other things. He has a tendency to make himself into a victim if given the opportunity. Therefore, he'll latch on to anyone that believes in his plight, especially if someone else is against him. Inwardly, he's selfish and willing to throw lies left and right, and he tells himself that the others just don't appreciate his talents. When it comes to Jude and Savas, he claims he hates them but that is hardly the case. Ever since he was young, Astor has been quite possessive over Jude and it led to him being forced into the friendship with Savas. The kinship, of sorts, exists between the three, but Astor still has his naive beliefs that he is selfish, better than them, and would be much better off without them. He's the rational one of their group, after all, even if he never wins arguments. history Asria and Aline of Bocholt were wed because it was proper, but the two had respected one another for some time at events. Aline was quite a bit younger than Asria at the time, but she held her head high, and knew how to deal with people better than most. When they married, they made an arrangement that they would never become too fond of one another. Things haven't changed, and surprisingly, it keeps things far-from-tense for them. Asria never feels the need to look outside of the marriage for pleasure, as he and his wife find something in one another. Of course, she only managed to produce one child, which always proved to be some difficulty. Astor was a frail boy when he was born. He was born a little prematurely, and his parents were certain he would die. However, somehow, he made it through the initial months and still lives to present times (quite obviously). His first few years were somewhat difficult, as he never seemed to be very loud and they thought there was something wrong with him. Was he born deaf? Was there something wrong with him otherwise? But they soon learned that was merely his disposition, and stopped worrying as they were before. At least, for the mean time. It was obvious fairly early, though, that Astor wouldn't be like the other nobles they often were around. Since the nobility in their area did well to be very close, Astor grew up with his cousin, Jude, and their close family friend, Savas. Jude and Savas were the type of boys that were loud and would run through the house, whereas Astor would mutter things in an irritated voice at them or would hide in dark rooms to avoid them. Somehow, they kept insisting on his presence as they grew up. An incident when they were younger, however, almost led to Jude becoming very hurt, and Astor was forced to save him. This circumstance led the boy to realizing that his cousin would likely end up in this situation quite often. He became somewhat resentful of Savas for dragging Jude into these situations, blaming him even if Jude was one who came up with the ideas. The problematic relationship with his father started around this time. Aline had already had three miscarriages, one of which actually being a stillborn, and it was obvious that his somewhat demure son would not be that upright of a young man. He would yell at him for not standing up for himself, and would even force him to ride for longer hours until he seemed to have a better control of the horse. Astor was doing well in his studies and was a terrific musician by a very young age, almost a prodigy even, but that wouldn't do for the family. The verbal abuse turned into a two-sided, but very private, battle between Astor and his father as he grew up. He wouldn't do as his father said and increasingly became defiant, and he even started relishing his stupid trips with his two friends. Given his father's good health, Astor imagines it will be some time before he dies. He hates the fact quite a bit, and wishes he had some reprieve from it. This bad relationship it kept from his friends. Although he enjoys playing the victim, it wouldn't do to show off this kind of relationship with his father. ooc information Astor is the character of |
